Step 9: Locate Your eSIM Email

After your purchase is complete, you will receive an email containing your eSIM details and a QR code.

Step 10: Scan the QR Code

Using the device you wish to activate:

  1. Open your device's Mobile Network or SIM Manager settings.
  2. Select Add eSIM.
  3. Choose Scan QR Code.
  4. Scan the QR code provided in your email.
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the eSIM. (Don't select this eSIM as your primary connection until you've contacted us to complete the sim swap for you)

Step 11: Confirm Successful Installation

Once installation is complete:

  • Confirm the eSIM appears in your device's SIM settings.
  • Ensure the eSIM status shows as active or ready to use.
  • Make a note of the eSIM/SIM card number if displayed.

Part 3: Contact Kogan Mobile for a SIM Swap

Step 12: Contact Us via Chat

Once the eSIM has been successfully installed, contact Kogan Mobile through chat and advise that you would like to complete a SIM swap.

Step 13: Complete Authentication

Before a SIM swap can be processed, you must successfully complete customer authentication.

To help protect customers from fraud and unauthorised account access, agents will ask security questions to verify your identity.

Important: Ensure you provide the correct authentication information. If authentication cannot be completed successfully, we will be unable to process the SIM swap.

Step 14: Provide Your eSIM Number

Provide the eSIM/SIM card number from your newly installed eSIM to the agent.

Important: The SIM swap cannot be completed without the correct eSIM/SIM card number.

Step 15: SIM Swap Completed

Once authentication has been verified and the eSIM number has been confirmed, the agent will process the SIM swap and advise when the service has moved to your new eSIM. At this stage you should return to your Sim Setting and select the eSIM as your primary connect.
