What is changing with Kogan Mobile monthly plans?
We’re making the way our monthly plans work simpler.
Currently, data included in some existing Kogan Mobile monthly plans refreshes every 31 days.
We’re changing this so that your data will refresh on the same date each calendar month instead.
We’re giving affected customers 30 days’ notice before this change starts applying to their plan.
When will the change happen to my plan?
Your plan will continue to work as it does today during the 30-day notice period.
Once the 30 days have passed, the change will take effect the next time your monthly data refreshes.
That refresh date will then become your regular monthly refresh date going forward.
For example, if your next data refresh after the notice period falls on the 15th, your future data allowances will be added on the 15th of each calendar month.
Will my data refresh date change immediately after the 30-day notice period?
Not necessarily.
The 30-day period is the notice period for the change. Your existing 31-day cycle will continue until your next scheduled data refresh after that period.
The new calendar-month cycle will begin from that refresh.
Can you give me an example?
Yes.
If your 30-day notice period ends on 10 October and your next scheduled data refresh is 18 October, your data will refresh as normal on 18 October.
From then on, the 18th will become your monthly refresh date, so your next allowances will be added on:
18 November 18 December 18 January
and so on.
What happens if my new refresh date doesn’t exist in a particular month?
If your regular refresh date doesn’t exist in a particular month, your data will be added on the last day of that month.
For example:
· If your refresh date is the 31st, your February data will be added on the last day of February.
· If your refresh date is the 30th, your February data will be added on the last day of February.
· If your refresh date is the 29th and February only has 28 days, your data will be added on 28 February.
Your usual refresh date will apply again in the next month where that date exists.
Why is Kogan Mobile making this change?
We want a monthly plan to work more like you’d expect a monthly plan to work.
Moving from a fixed 31-day cycle to a calendar-month cycle makes your data refresh date easier to remember and more predictable.
It also means that in shorter months, your next monthly data allowance may be added sooner than it would have been under a 31-day cycle.
Is the amount of data included in my plan changing?
No.
Your monthly data allowance is not changing. The only change is how the timing of your monthly refresh works.
Do I need to do anything?
No.
Your plan will continue as normal and the change will happen automatically from your first data refresh after the notice period.
What if I don’t want this change?
We’re giving you 30 days’ notice before the change starts applying to your plan.
